The Hermes platform recently developed by Netflix in order to create a language specialist community to improve their movies translation process, will impact in a very positive way the digital world.

Meritocracy is perhaps one of the most fascinating concepts of the society, and at first glance the Hermes platform has a meritocracy DNA as a part of its building blocks.

Furthermore, the setting is going to be a win-win relationship between the new international community created by the Hermes platform and Netflix.

Paradoxically, the AI agents will improve dramatically their understanding about the human language and on the other hand humans will learn how to evolve with zero computational handicap assisted by their new allies.

Another important benefit that Netflix can obtain throughout the Hermes platform, is the content creation enhancement. Chances are, the Hermes system assisted with other tools will provide high quality data to feed properly a decision support system for the curation and the creation of tailored content.

Content is the king and Netflix knows it very well. The in-house content creation is one of the most valuable assets of the company. In addition, the odds for 2017 is their international subscribers will overtake the U.S subscribers, hence the Hermes platform has been developing on the perfect timing.

There is a beauty underneath the Hermes platform, the opportunity to create a new generation of polyglot kids which eventually will be able to watch/experience the Netflix content as adults in the future in several languages without the needing of subtitling.
