The beginning of the end of the vehicle’s windshield era.

Those kids were mesmerized when visiting the Indianapolis museum, watching those great machines of the past, especially the cars of the beginning of the XXI century.

Why they were amazed especially by the cars of the beginning of the XXI century?

Because the technology, the electronics and the computer power was advanced enough at that time to radically change the vehicles design, but even so they kept building pretty much the same vehicle concept for a long time, well a little more fancy is true but basically the same concept. The kids simply couldn’t believe the human drivers were sitting in the front seat driving at 100 mph with a huge glass windshield 10 inches away from one of the most complex and marvelous biological artifacts conceived in the entire universe: the human brain.

Of course, those kids grew up going to the school in fully automated school buses without windshields but with human co-pilots on board and surrounding by a smart infra-structure. Even more, the super smart infrastructure system was able to detect and disconnect any vehicle with erratic driving standards in a matter of Nano-seconds.

The information and the imagines the drivers and passengers were able to enjoy without windshields were far better and safer than the old fashion way of using windshields, due the AR devices and a top notch navigation system.

Most astonishing even, was the fact that at that time (at the beginning of the XXI century), they figured out how to drive some artifacts like tanks, submarines and planetary rovers without windshields for obvious reasons, although the cost factor is understandably.

But now, the electronics per square inch available in the front shields of their vehicles, was very sophisticated and the collision protection provided by the front shield was remarkable.

Due the new top notch navigation systems available, the windshield were no longer necessary and the vehicles were equipped with real shields, enhancing the safety by a factor of thousands.
